TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 RESTORATION

All Ziebart/underseal/dirt scraped from metal work and washed down with white spirit to remove residue.

This panel had corroded badly between the seams from water collecting and had to be replaced with a new panel.

The panel was offered up and was a good fit, mounting flange on the bonnet skin needed a repair section welding in.

These were stripped to bare metal and one rust pin hole was welded up. The hinge bushes were seized up and were renewed.

Wheel arch and headlamp panels in excellent condition (I think they had been possibly replaced at some point).

A long and ardous task achieved using wire brush attachments in a drill to reach bare steel.

Rust treated and area primed.

All bare metal areas now primed and all seams sealed with Tigerseal.
