INTERIOR TRIM & DASHBOARD

The general condition the the Spitfire's interior was pretty good but there was still some work to be done to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the car. The main problem was that the seat back foams had started to disintegrate and left little piles of crumbling foam under the seat everytime you got out of the car. The seats were stripped of their covers to reveal a cracked drivers seat frame which was welded up. New foams were fitted and the original cleaned covers were refitted. The wood dash and instruments were all polished and refitted and a good used dashtop fitted.

 

The rear cockpit trim was in good condition and was cleaned and refitted with new vinyl for the wheelarches, the door trims and caps were water damaged and were replaced with new parts.
