Cutting away old repairs
The wheelarch/heelboard area was covered with shoddy MOT welded repairs which had to be removed to effect a quality repair.

New Heelboard Trial Fit
A new heelboard section was fabricated to replace the rotten original.

Inner sill removed
Part of the inner sill had to be carefully removed to facilitate repairs to this area and was butt welded back in.

Rear Crossmember
Both ends of heelboard crossmember were fabricated and butt welded in .

Completed Wheelarch
Whole area painted with red oxide and seam sealed for protection.

Inner wheel tub
Wheel tub closed off and seam sealed.

Floor section repaired
The floor below the radius arm mount was replaced with a butt welded fabricated panel.

Radius Arm Mount
The original radius arm mount was reused and welded back into its original position.

Rear wheel arch
This area had been patched badly over rust and areas were cut out and new steel welded in.
