Car ran well but was down on power and valve gear was a little noisy.

A serious oil leak from the timing cover needed fixing so front pulley had to come off.

Removing the cover revealed a distorted front plate from I think someone reversing the exhaust into something!

A blocked rocker shaft caused excessive wear to valve stems and cam followers, camshaft needed replacing also.

Rocker shaft was worn due to infrequent oil changes and was replaced, and a top end oil feed kit was fitted.

With plate removed, core plugs, timing gear were replaced with new parts. Camshaft was swapped with a good used part.

Head was removed to reveal unworn cylinder bores and standard size pistons.

Engine block was cleaned and painted gloss black, flushed out and fitted with new core plugs.

Decoked and lightly ported. All valves and springs were renewed and alloy valve caps fitted.
