TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 RESTORATION

A used door was purchased and stripped and was found to be in good condition with minor rust.

Door bottom and flange were pristine which saved loads of work.

The top of the door had some pinholes so section had to be cut out and replaced with fresh steel.

Repair section was made and welded in (excuse c**p welding as gas had just run out!)

Panel was attched to car and fitted up with new weatherseals and mirror.

The bottom of this door seemed sound but once the plate was taken off.....

Replacement used door had slight corrosion in the front corner but this was easily fixed.

Door was filled, primed and guide coated prior to wet flatting.

Three coats of colour were sprayed on.
