After removal of door seals and A-post rubbers the rust was revealed between the two layers of steel.

E Sticker position noted and carefully removed to use for a pattern for reproducing new ones.

Spot welds were drilled and braze top and bottom ground away to allow removal of channel, a small section underneath had to be made.

All paint was removed from the bulkhead side and A-post and rust treated.

Luckily the pillars on both sides were in good condition and just the channels were rusty.

This shows what happens when moisture gets between the layers of metal.

New channel welded in and sealed with tigerseal to stop water ingress.

All paint removed from the bulkhead and A-post area and primed.

Paint edges are feathered to make ready for filling and priming.
